What Does the following chest X-ray Indicate? 

Hi! Doc, recently i just received my Chest X-ray PA or AP result because i got pain on my back. Please advise and give me the enlighten words to know what this mean. Here s the reports: There is a sharp linear density in the right paracardiac region/lung base. Hazy , faint nodular and ill-defined densities are also demonstrated in the right apical region. The rest of the lungs fields are clear. Heart is not enlarge. The tracheal air column is at the midline. Both hemidiaphragms and costophrenic sulci are intact. The visualized osseous structures are unremarkable..that is all l i will be looking your answer..thanks Hazel

The sharp linear density is probably a scar in the lung from a previous infection.
The nodular densities in the right lung may be due to a lung infection, whether new or healing.
In my practice, I would advise for further assessment of the lungs using a CT scan of the chest.
